it's something u download music to and you can listen to it anywhere and any time it's small. the best part is it doesn't skip like a old Walkman. they are just like an mp3 player. you can put all kinds of music on it. only the songs you want.

Its basically an mp3 player, except it was to be called an ipod that can hold numerous songs than an mp3 player and you can watch videos in it, put pictures, podcasts(radio), calendar, games, an adress book and many more. There are different kinds of ipods, here are a few:
Origional Ipod: The first version that came out available in white only .
Ipod mini: Was available in gold, green, blue, silver, and pink, now sold out.
Ipod shuffle: Available only in white; doesn't have a screen .
Ipod nano: The thinnest one out of all; now available in blue, green, pink, silver, gold, can hold pictures, white, black.
Ipod video:Available only in black and white and can hold pictures or videos.
The price of each is depended on how many songs you want in it or as much as it can hold. Each one is portable and you can take it anywhere.

An expensive version of an mp3 player and in loads of different color's and different varieties.
example:my ipod:ipod mini (a smaller one but not the smallest) and it's pink (told u in different colors) and can take about 2000 songs (thats why it's expensive). It also has games. like music Quiz and stuff. AND an address book,calender and alarm clock.
