Body Count outdoor anti-racist gig in manchester, the mosh pit was seriously awesome, it was like an ancient battle field with bodies flying everywhere. Ice T did "cop killer" live and the filth pulled the plug, it was the biggest violent friendly beat up your mates to good music mosh pit I've ever survived. I will never forget that day in a thousand life-times. I amost got Ice T's mic when he threw it into the crowd but the frenzy of fans was far to massive and the guy who had it wouldn't let go without a fight so I let him keep that holy relic. thanks for the flashback, now I have a big smile on my face again.
BODY MOTHER FECKING COUNT!!!

Pink Floyd at Anaheim Stadium on the "Animals" tour. It rained off & on all day & we were sitting in the stands under a tarp thinking that the concert wasn't going to happen. Just when all seemed hopeless the rain stopped, the sun came out , one of the most incredible rainbows I've ever seen filled the sky & right at that moment Floyd took the stage. Total, beautiful coincidence but it couldn't have been any better if Floyd had somehow planned the whole thing. Add to that the fact that I was in an illegal state of mind & some fool blew the huge inflatable pink pig that the band was using on the tour out of the sky with a bottle rocket & its easy to see why that one has stuck so firmly with me. I still periodically run into people that remember that show!

Having been to many great shows, I'm embarrassed to say, but here it goes..
I went to a Simple Minds gig in Dublin in 1987 for the support acts (lloyd cole, the ramones, waterboys, in tua nua - I think, Can't quite remember, there were many big gigs back then!)
But Simple Minds were amazing! It was quite the surprise, they got a perfectly positioned light show from God.
U2 same year, same venue rocked, I haven't seen them do better and I've been to many of their shows since.
But I've never been to an AC/DC concert and I'll bet they'd wipe the floor with anyone else!

Secret Machines, Carling Academy, Liverpool 2006. A class act, fabulous stage show, hard-rocking authentic sound and so much awe and energy from the audience I could feel the hairs stand up on the back of my neck!

OK. Aerosmith, Nazareth and a few others. July 4, 1977. Market Square Arena, Indy. Aerosmith was rockin', fireworks were flyin' (indoors) and they stop playing. BAM! Steven Tyler says:" Allright Indianapolis, you motherf*ckers! The next firework that comes up oin this stage we're leaving!" Nobody shot anymore fireworks in the direction of the stage.

U2 Joshua Tree tour 1987 Buffalo, NY Just simply the most amazing show, It was emotional and brilliant. Bonos arm was a sling that night (i think he separated his shoulder) The show ended with "40" and the crowd was still singing into the parking lot--just beautiful
