First thing is to get a surround sound compatable sound card. 5.1 or 7.1 speakers and card would do. Install the card and connect the speakers. You will also need to input the audio from whatever device you are using(i.e-TV, Stereo, etc.)

To connect Home Theater receiver, also referred to as an AV receiver or Surround Sound Receiver use an optical cable from sound card. You can use audio digital coaxial cable with adapter to plug into sound card.

first, you have to get a sound card that supports how many speakers you want (if you don't already have one)
then plug in your sound card
then set up your speaker system
then plug the speaker system into your computer
turn it on
download drivers/software
calibrate it according to where your speakers are
and
POOF its done!

You need a sound card that supports 5.1 speaker system.

it is very simple , simply plug in the outlet of the sound card ( used for earphone) in to the surround system input !!!!!!!1enjoy
