I live in northern Wisconsin. On the average, it is around zero in the winter but can get as cold as 30-40 below zero without a wind chill. We just dress in layers to stay warm and take layers off as it warms up.

I stay in Northern WI. We no longer in elementary words get the bitterly chilly temps pushing down from Canada, we've wind-relax element consistenty operating -30 each and every wintry climate--some winters it may get to -one hundred (not often, yet even as i develop into 'queen' of our snowmobile club it were on condition that chilly for per week.) The snow will commence each and every time after confusing paintings day and may want to very last through might want to. Compound that with lake result snow coming off of added suitable and Michigan, and we've were given Chicago beat. yet having suggested that, we are evaluating Apples to Oranges. Chicago is a city, Wisconsin is an complete state.

Yeah buddy it gets cold up in Kenosha and Madison, but it's even colder up north near Menominee and Green Bay. Wisconsin is close to Canada by mere hours from Chicago and can get arctic cold during the winter. So they're nothing nice.

I've lived in both and they both get cold, but I've been in Wisconsin when it was 70 F degrees below 0. It hurts to breathe at that temperature.
Although Chicago gets really cold and windy, Wisconsin is colder.

It gets really cold in Wisconsin. Actually the cold is so much worse feeling because of the near proximity to a large body water. The dampness and humidity is what gets to your bones. They say that you get used to it, but I think they are a pack of fibbers just ready to sell me an iceberg. I even saw a dog get frozen to a fire hydrant one evening when he tried to pee on it. In fact, one day when I was there it got so cold that the red stop sign down the street from us just gave up and fell over in a zillion pieces.

Your from Chicago. It doesn't get that much colder In Wisc. Then it does there.Unless your way up and then its not that bad. Only difference is most homes are in rural areas and away from others. We keep warm just like you. The furnace, the fireplace and each other. Its not bad. The only people who think its bad are from, warmer climates and that cause they are not used to it.and arn't dressed for the cold

Yes it is colder than Chicago most times. The best way to keep warm is stay in whenever possible, and if you do have to go out make sure you were many layers, and always try to keep your face covered.

Yes, it gets that cold. And it's Wisconsin, home of Wilwaukee and amazing Oktoberfests. They drink beer. Lots and Lots of beer.

I lived in Iowa. I've heard WI is worse for weather. -20F weather and blizzards are normal. Layers, heavy coats, hats, gloves, boots, the whole thing. You won't be going overboard, trust me.
