Most of the weddings I have gone to in the last few years are for people in the same family, so they are carbon copies of one another..nothing is original. Same venue, same food, same dances, same wedding party, same everything. The only thing that is different is the bride and groom.
Luckily, I have a wedding to attend later today for another one of these family members. Oh, the suspense!

We did a hand washing ceremony as a part of our wedding. It is a native American tradition where you have a bowl of water at the ceremony and you wash your hands in the bowl. It symbolizes washing away the past and starting new from that point on. I really thought that it was a neat idea.

Wedding I went to in April. The groom disappeared under the bride's dress for a little too long for it to be a joke

I've seen a bride sat backwards on a toilet to save fighting with the dress, this might be common practice but i hadn't seen it done before.
Also, a family friend just got married and just before the first dance they secretly changed into fancy dress as sonny and cher!! it was hilarious!!

Well, I did not see it, but my Dad was friendly with the local police officers, and had himself "arrested" at his own wedding ceremony to escape their college mates following them after the ceremony. No one but my Dad knew it was a hoax, and the event was front page news the next day!

Besides bridesmaids?
Impromptu tabletop dancing with a necktie headband, longest and most embarrassing toast contests, football on the grounds of the golf course outside with a toaster, did I mention bridesmaids? and the "Bunny Hop".

I went down on the bride right before the ceremony while she had her wedding dress on. Not real different but fun ! I was late escorting people to their seats!
