Great for a quickie clean on the floor. I would save my money, go to Sears and get a Sears model canister vac with the 360 swivel. Then you can dust baseboards, blinds, lampshades, carpet and wood. It also has a small beater bar for your furniture and mattress. If you can't afford it now, the little one is fine, but I would wait, spend the 350.00 and get the Hepa filter. They have sales where you go months with no interest and if you get a MasterCard through Sears, you get more money off the vac. Low interest really and pay on it, and DON'T and I mean DO NOT, charge another thing on the card. When the vac is paid off, you can tear up the card or get you something else that is nice for your home. Sometimes it's better to wait and save and only buy once. Before I got this vac, I spent the money on 3 others, trying to find something to do the work for me. Nothing closer than this vac. Great warranty and they ALWAYS can order new bags and repair parts. It even will stand on a stairway for you clean without blocking the exit air or tipping over. No, I don't work for Sears. I know a gal that had an old one that lasted for 30 years so I did my research on the web and this one rated with the 1000.00/1200.00 models of vacs. Happy cleaning.

Yes, it works as well as any other similar product. I also use an electric broom.
