In the US, driving is not a right, it is a privilege.

Good Luck...

As Teacher Man said, driving in the US is a privilege, not a right. The driver's test is designed to make sure you know how to drive properly. Sadly, many people seem to think that once they have the license, they are the most important person on the road. Please don't turn into one of those.

Actually, despite what the government tells you, driving is a right.

But that's not your question.

You don't haver to get a DL. I haven't driven since the first Gulf War. There's no way I want to sponser all that killing just for convience. Since I gave up driving my life has been simpler, less stressful, and I'm in much better shape and I've been able to spend much more money on much better things. ( I'm forty and some college girls saw me on the street just yesterday and one of them said "nice legs"

++ The #1 cause of death in America is auto accidents.
++ The government uses driving to control you. (would you wear a sign with your social security number in reflective lettering on your back?)
++ The sale of cars, gasoline, and insurance makes very rich and powerful people richer and more powerful. And look what thier doing with that power.
++ Most auto mechanics are very dishonest and frequently straight up defraud people daily, they train them to perform unneeded reapirs.
++ Driving itself is usually very stressful and can shorten your life (sometimes it is fun though).

You do NOT have to drive in America and you will be happier if you don't!

Why does a person go to school, university, college etc etc, to be educated to do a specific task, same with driving, you are sharing the road with a great many other people
