LEGAL! first of all i think it is bulls*** that the government try and tell us who we can and cannot love. homosexuality is NOT a bad thing! i understand that straight ppl may find it somewhat strange but love is greater than that and you cant control who you are attracted too. think about this what is worse: a man being truly in love with another man, killing a baby because you shouldnt have been a whore or quicky vegas weddings because your drunk. think about that and what is legal and what is not. if you can kill a baby because you simply dont want it then a man should be able to marry a man. abortion is FAR WORSE, its murder for absolutely no reason. as for the bible. throughout history things tend to be added in that didnt necessarily happen. history was written by men, as was the bible. i think that god loves everyone, and i dont think sexual orientation matters. i dont think gay marriage should even be up for debate. theres nothing about the way the government works to go against it, its just the religous aspect, but isnt there something called "seperate church and state"....EXACTLY my point. read this, think about this, and then see what is right and what is wrong.

I support it, and my reasoning may sound cheesy or whatever, but here it is:

I think love should know no bounds, ESPECIALLY not any implemented by the government. If two people feel strongly enough for each other to want to go so far as to make a commitment and life out of those feelings, what business does the government have to stop them?

And all else aside, I also believe this falls into the "church" section of "separation of church & state", and I think the government needs to concentrate on more important things.

i do support it. you don't choose you fall in love with or who you are attracted to!! i know what the bible says and i believe myself to be a christian!! jesus what a great religious leader!! but it's NOT our jobs to condemn someone for trying to live their lives as they see fit!!! nothing says that gay people are bad people, everyone just pushes the bible teachings that homosexuality is a sin and that it's evil!! the thing is, as long as someone is living their life as a good person, they SHOULD NOT BE DENIED THEIR HUMAN RIGHTS!!! i'm sorry but people do seem to forget that the bible was written by men. events could have been different things could have been said differently....i'm sorry to say it, but it's a book, i do not consider it the end all beat all of existence!! besides all that, has anyone stopped to consider what the confines of marriage were considered back them?? all it is now is a legally binded contract claiming ownership on another human being. do u really think that back in the days of christ or after that people filed for a marriage license, then had a church wedding, then proceded to lose their virginity to their spouse on their wedding night?!?!?! chances are, not! if we are going to ban gay marriage, we need to ban anyone from having sex before marriage, anyone having babies outside of marriage, anyone cheating on their spouses, anyone from having any kind of lustful thought, anyone from marrying outside of their own religion or ethnicity (as my step-mother says, "the bible says, birds of a feather, flock together)....do y'all really think any of THAT is going to happen???

i do have more i'd like to say, we could argue this point for days.....but the fact of the matter is.....people need to stop using the bible as a crutch and stop using it as a method to condemn other people because they don't share the same beliefs as them!! as i said, i'm a christian...but i hold no faith in organized religion, but there are gay people out there who do!! and i believe they should be able to go to their churches and have their ceremonies if they want to!! y'all all probably think i'm going to hell!! but chances are no matter how much you push your beliefs on the rest of the world...you are too!!! we are all sinners, and none of us know truly what the deal is and we won't until the day wee leave this earth!!

Support it. I think gay marriage should be legal. No one has the right to discriminate. EVERYONE has a right to get married.

I think love is love and telling a group they cannot b/c their love isn't real or isn't valid enough to be recgonized is wrong. With all the hate in the world why are we spending so much time and energy fighting love. I do not get it. It is a non issue to me.
