It won't go into sleep mode. When I put it in sleep mode the drives rev up and just sit there. I have to hold the power button down to get it to stop. In order to start it back up I have to unplug it from the wall for ten seconds.

Dear,

Step 1: Open control panel.
Step 2: Open power options.
Step 3:Click on advanced tab or check for power buttons option.
Step 4: Set "when i press the sleep button of the computer" to standby/shut down option (According to your wish)
Step 5: Click ok
(In step 4 if u set it to standby option the computer goes standby only and the pc will be on immediately when u hit a key in keyboard or move mouse & if u set it for shutdown the pc will shutdown fully.

What version of Windows are you using? Are you hitting the right keys to come out of sleep mode and are you connected to a network? All these will have an effect on your sleep mode.
