This guy is retired , 66yrs. old, seperated from his wife who is much younger than he is. He was friendly towards me at first. But in the last few months he's made some sarcastic comments to me...that at times I do not really get the "jest" of what he really means.
He likes to hang out at a few bars during the day and comes back to our business to loiter or just sit there. During that time, his personality has changed (i guess from a few drinks that he just had).
How do i tactfully handle him??? My husband says he's "okay'(?). I told my hub to keep him busy doing things to help him out. Think the guy might be bored too.

It sounds like this man is very lonely and has nothing else to do. I would just kind of make a joke when he says the sarcastic things to you. I'm sure he isn't trying to be mean to you.

Find a club for him with ppl his age you know retired ppl or get him to join like the elks club or the moose lodge he needs something to do with his day. Maybe his wife seperated from him because he sat around all day while she was at work. Tell him you are running a business you cannot afford to have him hang around all day. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
