I am American, and in all candor, I will say to you that the man has not acquitted himself nobly as president. He is what history views as a place-holder presidency. Coolidge is the perfect example of another such presidency. And so is Bush's dad. No innovations. No great good done during his term. Just soldiering on, journeyman-like, his only real value is in keeping his party's hand on the helm for another 4 years, until maybe, just maybe, a candidate to get excited about comes along. Someone has called this a corporate presidency, and I can agree with that too. He is in the hip pocket of the ultra wealthy, and maintains this fraudulent connection with the common man by pimping "morality" issues like abortion and same sex marriage. (No matter how you feel about them, these issues are out of his hands. They will be determined by courts. So all he can do is make political hay out of them in the most cynically manipulative way, in the meantime.)
The war was a huge mistake, begun as a distraction from his domestic failures, (a floundering economy among them), AND to unify people behind a president who stands for nothing he can express candidly to his contituency. (For, if you are Bush, how do you explain openly to Bubba that you like seeing his unions being busted, his jobs being outsourced, because it means more pure profit for you and your pirate/robber baron friends???)
This presidency is a scandal and embarrassment for all Americans with any advanced level of social and political awareness.

A Very Large Dick in fact - not respected, liked, or ultimately trusted by most people - along with president Blair.

He is but a puppet fool, a mouthpiece; the country is being run by Cheney/rove/Rumsfield and the large Republican machine. I strongly suspect that George's anal orifice is probably very close to the size that Cheney's forearm is.
