Uh, yeah. The Republican party prides itself on denying people natural urges (they hate birth control and only preach absinence and vehemently oppose homosexuality) so when one of their own turns out to be a red blooded human it really freaks them out and they don't know what to do. That's why instead of doing the right thing they just tried to cover it up. It would destroy the message of hate they are too busy spreading.

What about when it was told to the democrats 11 yrs ago, oh, wait, I forget double standards is what that party believes in......Cover up is what politics are all about now a days, every government official has some sort of skeleton in there closet......doesnt slide into political party , they are all guilty of something....if they want to be fair about it, bring in an outside source to investigate everyone, then after everyone resigns except democrats because we know they dont take responsiblity for there actions.....like the democrat caught with an underage page in compromising position yet he is still in office...hmmm...ok .....so it has nothing to do with republican and democrat, like the preists , every one is foulable, because they are human, but everyone in congress have been playing the corruption game no one is innocent......Besides the page's lawyer is even saying that these supposed emails that are suddenly popping up might not even be authentic, he said that it might all have happened after the page turned 18 and that it was a young man and an older man situation...(Sick , yes, because of two men no , but, because if it is the case, and foley used the fact that he was a congressman to try to force a relationship, then charges should be brought up) but as of yet, it seems that the page confronted foley and came on to foley...as a man to man thing.....

Let me ask you a question what are "you" required to do and when when you learn of a crime? Yes, he was using Government equipment for personal use; he used Government equipment to send questionable material and he committed "fraud waste and abuse". Others knew he was breaking the law and I'll bet when the investigation is through John Boehner and Dennis Hastert will be implicated. Foolishly they had hoped it would not be discovered I can't wait to see what else they find. Please don't believe this was because they were Republicans it could have happened to either party or anyone. It is funny since the Republicans always preach what should be done (just not to them). God bless you and the Southern People.

The Republicans and Democrats who have known about this should have spoken up. Any one who sat on this should face charges of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Plus there needs to be accountability for people like Fordham who claims to have notified a senior person on Hastert's staff. Why not notify the Speaker himself? Or the Ethics Committee? Instead he chose to notify an anonymous civil servant.

But since the FBI had the information and never pressed charges because there is no proof of contact or actual solicitation emails between Foley and a minor, it look slike Foley was sacraficed for an October Surprise, a victim of politics.

Not only that, they should have censured him for homosexual behavior. Congress has done this before. Congress makes its own rules of conduct, and the courts cannot interfere. It basically does what it wants to when it comes to its own members.

yes, along with any democrats that knew as well...they're saying that nancy pellosi (spelling?) might have known. and that she nominated a person who had actually had sex with a minor, not emails, to take a house chair. And she was marching in parade with homosexual men who were advocating to sleep with young boys....or something to that effect.

Yes , they should have. In politics ethics are mostly absent.
I hope the Page's sue this creep for everything he has.

No. They should have canned his butt three years ago.
(Oh, and you sickly, pallid neocons who manage to blame the Dems for everything; how do you think up these stupid responses?)

Quit your fixation with Foley. I'm so sick of his name.
And should take his pictures down from your bathroom mirror.
