I think that Lakshya is my favorite movie. It stars Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta. Basically, Hrithik plays a lazy guy who has no aim in life. After his girlfriend Preity dumps him and his family condemns his uselessness, he decides he needs an aim. He join the army and becomes a lieutenant; he's deployed to Kashmir to fight to Pakistanis at the Line of Control. Anyway, he finally finds an aim in life: the only "feasible" way to get to Pakistani base is to scale a really tall cliff. He leads a squad as an acting captain to climb the cliff and surprises the Paks. The Paks all die. And although Hrithik suffers a leg injury, he survives and everyone--most importantly him--is satisfied. What an inspirational movie. I didn't mention all the stuff that happens, so if you didn't watch it yet, you ought to watch it.

There are so many and it depends on the genre; comedy, thriller, drama ................

But my favourite out of them all is .......... Star Wars. Maybe a bit naff but I remember when it came out. Everybody was talking about it. The theme tune was in the charts and everybody was raving about it. I went along to Leicester Square wondering what all the fuss was about and thinking NO movie can be as good as people are making it out to be. I sat there and the space ship came into view and I thought ..cool. then the chasing space ship came on and followed it. It seemed to fly in right over my head and went on for ever. Left me breathless and I was spellbound for the rest of the show.

It broke such new ground and the opening line:

A long time ago. In a galaxy far, far away.

How evocative is that?

Groundhog's Day: It's funny. Sad. Philosophical, Completely unique. And complex enough that you CAN watch it over and over again and find new things! And it's really funny...

I even took a trip to Woodstock Illinois where it was filmed *(not Pennsylvania). It was amazing to see the town square and the diner, and the Bed and Breakfast there...

Donnie Darko because it was completley original and though-provoking. It had a great cast and Jake Gyllenhaal shined in the lead role

My answer to this would have to be "Pretty Woman". So, what does that tell you? I am a woman...lol. I think it is the fact that it is something that every woman would like to have happen in thier life. Of couse not the prostitution part, but to find a wonderful, strong, successful man and have him endure you as much as he endured her.

It would have to be Arthur. I love that movie. Dudley Moore was a good actor.
