If someone sits at my computer and goes into screen properties, they can change the time setting effectively preventing my computer from logging off. Does anybody know of a method to prevent people from changing my screen settings with password protection?

Not if they use your user acount, create a different account for them. So u log off and they log on when they want to use the pc, or use the guest account.

on the computer your the computer administrator make a guest profile with restrictions and put a passwords on yours

or don't let anyone use your machine. thats the best way to prevent it
