I have PCOS and it took me about 3 months of the Metformin to get pregnant. I didn't have Clomid. I took Metformin all through my pregnancy and after and when we were ready to get pregnant the second time it happened right away.

I have pcos and I have not yet conceive as yet, I started metformin August 31 and I'm still on it up to this day, I am taking 2000mg a day, I am also on clomid this is my 7th cycle (Dr. reccomend it but it's the last cycle) I ovulated 3 times with the metformin and clomid combo but I still haven't got pregnant as yet. Every lady pcos / pcod is different, some ladies would conceive on metformin alone in a space of 1 month just as the same with clomid. Try not to stress to much about it (better said then done) eat healthy, excersing and take all your vitamins.

Hi, I had a miscarriage 2 yrs ago then nothing happened. My specialist put me on Clomid and I got pregnant within 7 months - unfortunatly it was an ectopic pregnancy which I had to be rushed in for an emergency op. That was back in February and the doc now has me on both clomid and metformin - so far nothing!!
I don't think the metformin is particularly agreeing with me - strange things keep happening with my eye-sight!!! So I keep taking the metformin in dribbs and drabs.
Good luck - and enjoy trying!

If you can be pregnant or if you have infertility problems I reccomend to follow this method http://pregnancy.toptips.org
Many factors can cause a couple trouble in conceiving a baby, I'll list a few of the most common ones in women:
Anorexia or other dietary dysfunctions
Lacking amounts of FSH and LH are produced, so ovaries aren't as functional as they could be, and so not many eggs are produced
Stress, causing periods to become irregular
Medications such as cancer treatments, antidepressants, hormone therapy, pain killers, and antipsychotic drugs can all cause temporary infertility.
With the method that I posted above you will be able to get pregnant!

My doctor skipped the metformin with me and put me right on clomid. I got pregnant on the 3rd cycle. Make sure you're using ovulation predictors and just keep trying. Good luck to you.

Once infertility has been diagnosed, there are a number of treatment options available depending on the root cause of the problem. Learn here https://tr.im/nOoEN
Infertility is a condition defined as not being able to become pregnant after at least one year of unprotected, regular, well-timed intercourse. Women who suffer from multiple miscarriages may also be diagnosed as infertile. Infertility may be classified into two groups, primary and secondary infertility.
