I don't think they have low IQ, given the number of Chinese students at the university I'm studying at (which is, AFAIK, well among the top universities in the UK)... Anyway, where did you get that rubbish?
-Poverty? Have a look at the reasons... climatic, historical and all... You can't have a flourishing economy where population grows faster than your resources could support...
-Corruption? Honestly, are there no corruption scandals in the US? Or in any country in the "developed" world?
-Pollution? I guess the US still hasn't signed the Kyoto pact ;) (Correct me if I'm wrong...) Besides, if you read a little about 19th century England, the industrial revolution and stuff, I bet you find plenty of examples of horrifying conditions... Do you think, then, that people in 19th century England had low IQ and destructive thinking?
3rd world countries are simply at a different stage of development, and they probably didn't get there in a natural and gradual process (well, unless we think colonisation is part of the natural course of development), which makes things even more messy. They need time and resources, nothing else. I'm sure that sooner or later they will catch up. Or we will fall behind, who knows.

No. I think the Americans are headed in that direction. They are showing all of the symtoms that Rome showed just before it collapsed. Spreading its Army too thin in other countries, Making Gladiator sports more important and distractive to the citizens ( I.E. Football) Funny how we like the blood sports as our video games instead of fun type video games. We are the destructive ones. Our pride will be our fall just like the Roman empire fell by believing that they were superior to all other nations and groups of peoples. People are the same everywhere. They want the same things you do. It is our preconceptions and misinformation that makes us think that they are different than we are. I am a citizen of the world and as such, am held accountable for the atrocities and evils that we as a people do to each other. Become part of the change and solution to the world problems. Don't give in to the lies spread by the propaganda machines that tell us people other than Americans are different and lower than us, such as your statement of being 3rd world??? They just have bad government as we all do. Decisions are made for them that they do not want also. I did not want to go to war, but we are there. No one asked for my opinion or yours. Neither did the other countries ask to be poor or as you put it, 3rd world. It was decided for them by controlling governments and powerful men around the globe. They do not have a lower IQ, its just education is not priority when controlling the people. Keep them ignorant and they will do what you tell them. Knowledge is power, so do not give them any power. That is what government and controlling entities like. People are no different on the planet. You are just lucky to have been able to live your comfortable life in this country. Beware though, it will not last forever if control freaks like these exist. Your freedoms will soon be a thing of the past. Its already happening around you but you don't know it because you are too busy being distracted with Football and playing video games. This is what keeps you from seeing the truth around you, but, hey, thats what our government wants.

Do you even understand what the 3rd world stands for?
the 1st world consisted of countries allied with the european style of thinking
the 2nd world consisted of USSR and other communist countries
all other countries formed part of the 3rd world
I by virtue of being an Indian, am part of the 3rd world. I have encountered such ignorance - as displayed by you - before, and all I can say is, I would be happy to be your host if you ever chance to come over to my part of the world. You can see for yourself if we have low IQ and/or destructive thinking or you can choose to be better informed!

i would say most people in developing nations do have lower IQ's and destructive thinking. its not that the people are inherently dumb, but most likely that nation does not have a developed education system and probably only the rich get an education, and usually there are people rebelling against the government and both sides what to destroy each other, which leads to destructive thinking.

no, actually people from developed countries (like bush) have an extremely LOW IQ and destructive thinking (the war in iraq, post hurricane katrina).
people from third world countries just have bad luck but happen to be the hardest working people i know. the chinese and indians are smart as heck. the indians single handedly make up about 25% of the physicians in this country so imagine how smart they are. the chinese will one day take over the world economy then you will be left wondering who is smart and who is dumb.
africans are extremely unfortunate but are hard working. do not confuse them with afro-americans (i will not comment on that). africans from the continent africa that come here work hard as hell and are some of the smartest doctors i know.
as far as destructive thinking, if you are referring to the middle east - hun, that's not a third world area. most third world countries have enough on their plate to find time to worry about taking over the world or shoving religion down anyone's throat. hindus don't do that (you can't even freaking convert to hinduism) and most chinese don't practice a religion. africans don't shove their religion (mostly catholics/christians) down anyone's throat either.
so there you have it.

No. To the contrary, the US recruits from other countries for certain professions. At one time the US recruited engineers from India; their programs are considered outstanding. When it comes to destructive thinking, no one will know until something happens, but it has nothing to do with IQ.

I think that applies to people from Earth. Any place that is dominated by religion is bound to have a low IQ and destructive thinking.
