The CD/DVD drive of a laptop is the MOST sensitive of all drives. Simply because the dayem lens is exposed!!

Most probably the lens got scratched because of some uneven disk you put. Me had similar problem and my vendor replaced the DVD drive. The lens had a scratch!! He was maganimous enough to replace it though by warranty he need not.

Check that part from your vendor.

it might count on how previous thepersistent is, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that it sounds like that's on its way out...my advice is to start checking for alternative drives on sale as a in simple terms in case degree (often in case you uninstall thepersistent by skill of utilising domicile windows-gadget homes-gadget manger, and it re-installs the drivers on next boot and the priority occurs back, then that's a hardware situation and many times the hardware subject concerns is with thepersistent itself (fortunate in which you will replace thepersistent without changing the rest, unlucky in which you will desire to do it in any respect)
