1. What is the proportion of gays among the male population in the US or in any other country?
2. What are your honest opinions about gays?

Proportion of gay among the male population in the US or any other country I'm afraid is truly unobtainable.
The answer due to the fact of so much hate and uneducated people out there that many wouldn't even check "the box" on the census bureaus questionnaires. As far as other countries they don't collect nor publish that info nor do they have to. You could check the census bureau and see what statistics they do have however it will not be accurate due to the reasons I have already stated,,,,,many will not admit never mind to the government!

I have no general opinion about gays just as I have no general opinion about straight people, or any gender, color, race, religion, mental or physical handicap or anything else.

One cannot generalize and form a blanket opinion on a whole society, that is the worst form of hate, and discrimination not only the farthest away from God one can get.

Please form your own opinions of people based on truth, honesty and knowledge of whom you are judging (that is if you feel God has given YOU the right to judge others) don't let others hate and stupidity breed the same in your heart. Least the tables will turn and before you know it they (all others) will be doing the same to you!
A very true and real saying that one only learns as one grows older and matures in spirit and knowledge and that is:

Listen and learn for what you send out in life comes back and believe me it does hence... what goes around comes around!

Listen to people you will know their heart. If too much sewage and hate comes out, don't listen too long because that hate and sewage is powerful and consuming to anyone open to listen.

Leave the hate and sewage people to themselves, perhaps they will learn in time, surround yourself with the goodness and love.

Goodness and Love they do not have a label or sign they are just Goodness and Love.

To answer your questions the first one the proportion should be pretty big if you consider how many gays are in the states I would say may be like a million. And I think that gays are just like other people, being gay myself I think more hetero men should get to know us before judging or wanting to harm us, because we are great people and we can help you with many relationship problem and questions that you might have about your girlfriend.

1. The estimates are based on surveys that may or may not be answered honestly due to all the homophobia out there - but the gay/lesbian population in the US is believed to be between 5-10%.

2. I almost didn't check out this question because I was afraid there would be horrible negative answers. Unfortunately, there were, but I hope I can balance them with a positive one:

Human sexually, and that of other complex life forms, is a spectrum. We express homosexuality and heterosexuality and everything in between. The majority are skewed toward procreative sexual behavior, but truly heterosexual people are a minority also. Remember the Bell Curve from school? Sexual expression is patterned on that curve.

People can be hateful toward what makes them afraid - I wish this weren't true.

Perhaps education will help.

I think the population of gay males would be around 10% of the male population. I don't think anything bad about gay men, however I have known gay men on a friendly basis since I worked with 2 as a teenager. My female friends son started to show signs of being gay from around 6 years old. He liked to wear glittery hats and later started to collect fancy glass ware in his teen years. At high school it became very obvious that he preferred males over females even though he liked females as good friends. I don't think it is a personal choice raver I think it is in their genes and they really can not help feeling the way they do.
It might be natures way of keeping the population down. Let's face it if males stay with males and females stay with females there is no worry of using contraception, no chance of accidental pregnancy, they have Lot's in common, they can concentrate on themselves and get a good education, good jobs, good salaries, and live a successful life style. So I can see the up side to being gay.

I can't remember exactly but it's a very low percentage, like 2% or something of the whole human population. Now that we have 6 billion people on this earth 2% is a big # of people, which is why it seems like there are so many gay people nowadays.

Everybody who is born straight sometimes has issues with watching two men or two women make out and be together. But I don't think it's right to deny them what makes them happy. That's none of my business and that's not what I'm coming home to every night so it's really not my concern. I really wish people would get over their backwards attitudes towards homosexuality and just be rational about the whole thing.

1. No way to know te true gay population since not everyone is out of the closet.

2. Homosexuality exists in nature and humans are a part of nature. Most gay folks are nice people, but there are jerks in every community. Reality is that gay people are exactly like straight people except for who they cuddle up with at night.

Homosexual men have a tendency to have more testosterone in their systems
I personally have an unusually high level for my age (40) I have the same level as a 25 year old (Had tests recently for a suspicious node). But it doesn't explain my bisexual orientation because as I age I should have less desire for men and more for women. That has not been the case.
I have no problems with Homosexuals. I am g0y and bisexual so I only have problems with those who are intolerant of my being bisexual or my being g0y.

Well concidering we aren't sure of the actual statistics about the percentages of homosexuals in the world, that question can't be answered.
Gays are simply people that are just like everyone else except for being attracted to the members of the same sex.

Less competition for the bi women I guess. Come on! You're asking for people's opinions on gay men in a GLBT area! What kind of an answer do you think you're gonna get? Of course we GLBTQQIA people *usually* support each other. As far as numbers, there's the "one in ten" rule that's been around for a while, and is probably very inaccurate.

Statistics show 10 - 12%. Gays are not a homogeneous group they come from all walks of life and indeed all sorts of people.
