Hopefully, some participants can e-mail the "SCD" to use this haze period to alarm the public of danger haze condition through their siren system, where the "SCD" used to activate the alarm quite frequent and also through radio announcing. These uniform groups (army, police and the civil defence) always practise the wrong time and events, agree ?

National siren alarm system is activated only during an emergency like an impending air or missile attack during war time. To use this exclusive system to warm the public of the haze condition when at a dangerous level is like killing a chick with a big butcher chopper. There are other means of notifying the general public of haze level, dangerous or otherwise, through the radio or TV announcements. Haze is not a national emergency and should go away in due course when the weather improves with rain or the wind direction change. Anyway,
this haze problem seems to be like an annual "ritual" with
Indonesian as the main culprit. What do we get in return for helping them during earthquark and tsunami? We give you our smoke! Damn them.

Actually, the haze isn't considered an "emergency". What's more significant would be (examples) impending volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, hurricanes (tornadoes/twisters), confired terrorists approaching, etc.

Unless if the haze is VERY deadly, causing instant deaths, the Civil Defence and what-not will not jump into "action"; use N95 mask if you wish.
