It depends on what you're cutting and pasting.

If it's text, you click your mouse down where you want to start cutting, then drag the mouse to highlight the text. Once it's highlighted, you can either right-click the mouse and choose Cut or use Ctrl-X on the keyboard, or possibly use the Edit menu or buttons on the programs you're using. Then click the mouse in the location you want to paste the text, right-click the mouse and choose Paste, or use Ctrl-V on the keyboard, or possibly use the Edit menu or buttons on the program you're using.

The process is pretty much the same for other things than text, such as files and pictures, but of course you don't highlight the text, you just click what you want to cut, then cut and paste it in the same way you do text.

Highlight what you want to copy.

When highlighted, using your keyboard, hit the CTRL button and 'C' at the same time.

Go to where you want to paste.

Again, using your keyboard, hit the CTRL button and 'V' at the same time.

C = copy; V = paste.

Hope this helps. :)
