yes you can. i fly quite frequently and as long as what you intend to carry-on is not a liquid, or is not in a package that conceals the item, the security at the gate will let you through with it.

have just got back from Turkey so have run the gauntlet of two airports. you can take sweets through security. but there are loads of shops in the departure lounge so you could get them there anyway.

A passenger had a bottle of medicine confiscated, which i thought fair enough it's a liquid. But was amazed when the security officer stated that if she had a copy of her prescription with her, then it would be allowed.

I thought.....

Thank god terrorists don't know that they can go to a doctor for a presciption of Gaviscon, empty the contents and refill it with an explosive and take it on board!!!!! sshhh

You need to call the airline and make sure cause some allow it and some dont ,also get the person's name that you talk to that is first and last name , cause if you dont and they cant confirm who you talked to then you are out of luck.

if the package is sealed from the manufacturer there wont be any problem, dont take home packed stuff as it will probably be taken from you.

yes!!!! just not liquids, it might have been relaxed abit but in septembet the airport security took my lipsyll from me as it was classed as a liquid!!!
