My husband and I (god I sound like the queen) were just talking about this. Our three girls who are well past school age now, went to the local schools. They (the schools) were neither the best or worst but, were close by and there was no stress for the children. The kids had a good home life, discussions round the table , arguments, falling outs but a lot of love. They are now respectively an area manager for boots the opticians (after getting degree and working of the shop floor as an optician for a few years) A podiatrist with her own practise and property developer having gained a BA in Art and design. The property developer is earning the most money (obviously) but maybe not the happiest. It just show that schools are good but not necessarily the be end and all end of everything

If you want to know which schools are the best you can look at their ofsted reports on their website. Results of their inspections can be found on the site. In addition look on your local council website. If that's what you meant?
