When they made errors, the A's took advantage and capitalized on it - scoring runs. Instead of being out number 3, first baseman misses the ball, allowing Payton to be safe at first, setting up Scutaro to hit a 3 RBI, bases clearing double. Hunter misjudges a fly ball out to center and instead of catching it on one hop, it gets passed by him and Kotsay gets a 2 RBI in the park homerun.

many mistakes and even a few managing errors, you simply can't have that this late in the year, but they did get beat fairly and soundly, but they do have a good future, look for a horse race next season in the central

they lost three straight games.............actually they played their tails off almost all season to catch the tigers and its obvious they had nothing left. when francisco liriano went down with arm troubles it affected them mentally
