When we are asleep, the self-awareness is missing. When we are mad, in a coma, lost in deep thought, etc, we cannot claim to be really alive, though coming back to life is relative to each of the causes of remaining not-alive !

I feel you very alive. for me its reality now this moment.
If you feel it as a true happening
If you can feel me the same way than I am alive.
If not, then I am not alive.(not for you at least)
