be happy, no one is perfect, we are flawed but that is how we can find
forgiveness for our faults and love each other anyway. I love this poem!

- ring the bells that still can ring

It is never too late to change your ways
or - stop just existing and start living.

- forget the perfect offering

Stop looking for perfection.

- there is a crack in everything

The 'crack' is necessary. If everything was perfectly balanced, nothing would move; true perfection is deliberately flawed so the 'crack' is really what gives meaning to being - like a beautiful diamond is more precious with a slight flaw as the contrast reveals a deeper beauty (or seeing a mole as a beauty mark).

- that is how the light gets in.

Without imperfection, perfection has no meaning;
all imperfections point to perfection.

May You Be Richly Blessed,
James

RING THE BELLS THAT STILL CAN RING -
don't forget about important things in life, all things can play a different tune in your heart, in some way or another.

FORGET THE PERFECT OFFERING -
remember in life, if something strikes you as perfect, its not real, because nothing is perfect.

THERE IS A CRACK IN EVERYTHING, THAT IS HOW THE LIGHT GETS IN -
if something in life looks to be broken, it can still be used or loved, look at the positive not the negative...

Nothing in life can be perfect, but those words teach us to utilize the people and things around us in a way to better our own lives......and be better people.

Just my opinion, take care and have a wonderful day.
Great poem!

ring the bells that still can ring
bring the things you still can bring
foget the perfect offering
purple clouds above are raining
there is a crack in everything
it is only for your good training
most things last only till morning
that is how the light gets in
and flowers grow among the path
if only they might last and last.

ring the bells that still can ring = keep the people that stick with you

forget the perfect offering = keep what you've got, its what you need, not what you want

there is a crack in everything = nothing is perfect and it isn't what it seems

that is how the light gets in = that is how your world becomes pure, truthful and what you want it to be

As long as you can, being alive
it doesn't cost anything
Nothing and No one is perfect
that is how redemption or forgiveness is obtained...

I think it is about our ears: the hole is the crack; our ears also ring.
