I've tried various different scrubs + an astringent/toner, but with only limited results.

My face isnt that bad, but i would like it a lot better.

Can someone impart some knowledge please?????

Thanks!

Proactive solution, believe it or not, works very well. I heve been using it for a while now and my skin looks so much better.

Proactiv worked miracles with my skin. It is a little pricey but it was the only thing that really worked for me.

The facial wash has little scrubby beads that gently polish away dead, rough skin cells. It most definely clears up skin for most people. I found my scars from past breakouts lighten up and gradually fade all together. They have a really nice toner that really soothes and calms the skin and then the cream feels really nice and helps prevent future blemishes. I find a need a little extra moisture so I use some Olay cream after.

The basic three piece washing set runs me about 60$ canadian. The 3 piece kit usually lasts me about 2 months but I am a little zealous with it so you might get it to last you 3. Most of thier other products are about 30$ a peice. They have makeups that dont irritate acne prone skin and some other nice creams and sunscreens.

I suggest giving it a try. I had really terrible cystic acne before and was one of those people who tried everything topical and some hard core prescriptions like acutane and nothing worked, but proactiv did.

You can check out thier website; http://www.proactiv.com/

Good luck

I have had terrible acne since i was 13. I have had a course of antibiotics for a month called Aknemin. I found that worked very well, but alos clearisil clean and clear. It make spots appear less red and easy to hide within 3 days. Itsa really good. Hope that helps.

a girl who was into modeling told me this one time....

start with washing your face with dove soap, rinse

then follow with astrigent.....,rinse

then put a little sea salt in yr hand with suds from the dove soap and scrub yr face, rinse

follow with a good face moisturizer.

do this in the morning and at night, using extra moisturizer overnight.

worked for me. in a week i had smooth tight clear skin.

best advice is washing your face twice a day - morning and night to get rid of oils etc. pat dry. drink plenty of fluids and have a good diet to help feed your skin.
if you wear makeup try and keep it to a minium too esp foundation and powder.
