yes, a person can be too nice. people used to say that about me.

people that r too nice usually let others walk all over them because they r too polite to say no to them. sometimes people feel indebted to them because of all the nice things that person does and the other person simply doesn't know how to repay that person back.

but u know it's great to be nice cause u don't find nice people too often. just be careful that people don't take advantage of u and usually if u r being too nice to someone in a good way they'll say 'u're being too nice!' and u can just back off with a smile.

Yes...it is very possible. 2 years ago my friends were always telling me that I was too nice. My best friend told me that I should stop trying to please everyone all the time and start doing things for me. It didn't sink in until a year after when I started working at my new job and my boss told me you're too nice. You can't do that cause people will use it to walk over you. So currently I'm still nice but I don't go overboard with it. I've learnt to say no.

My neighbor is too nice. She works so hard on being nice and polite to everybody, even though she doesn't like them, that it sounds false after a while. She also has a problem with saying no, since she want to be nice, and it is hard on her family since they are the ones that feels the consequences of her not being at home or being with them when she can't say no to others. She promise her kids to take them to "some place" then she can't say no to people that want her to stay and talk and her kids ens up waiting, sometimes for hours, for her. It's also hard on her since she promises people to help them and then she has no time for herself, most often not sleeping more than a few hours at night to manage it all.

Being nice isn't a bad thing but there has to be a limit to it. And it's not rude to say no if you do it in a polite way.

yes and I can be the same way. Being too nice can allow people to take advantage of you. Don't be afraid to put your foot down and say no. Even make up an excuse if you don't want to do something for them or what not. Don't think your too nice just because you might be polite. If the world had more polite people it would be a better place.

That's a tough one. I some times get in trouble for being "too nice" because people will take advantage of me. What I have to do is stop and ask myself, "Why am I doing this particular thing? Am I trying to be nice and helpful or am I doing it to affect the way people see me?" If my being nice comes from my heart it is good. Just have to be careful and not wear my heart on my sleeve.

I hope this made sense!

There's a fine line between appearing to be too nice and having low self esteem. Meaning, many nice people are simply shy and timid and won't stick up for themselves. But that is NOT the case for everyone.

I know some men who are soooooooooooo nice they will be single forever for a woman wants a man to stick up for her, show some authority occasionally... a nice guy rarely shows authority.

well...yesterday an old man came to my busines and he started talking about how stupid is the people for being nice...
He ask for money because he is old and nobody gives him work..
because he is sick,he is alone..etc...
He said..that he lives like a king , he has everthing and don't work because good and nice people gives him so much money that he does not need nothing else...he spend time on the beaches and enjoy live..
so sometimes is not good to be too nice.

It's good to be nice, nice people have more success and more friends, so they are probably happier. However, sometimes you have to be selfish to get places, so try and find a good mix of the two.
