VJ = Video Journalist
DJ = Disc Jockey
Those two are totally different jobs, even if the abbreviations sound similar. A VJ may work for any kind of TV station (frequently local ones), usually for the news program. They usually finish with the line: "This was (name) for (xy)TV."
