I have recently had to move to Australia and won't be back home in the UK with my boyfriend for a few months (I have been away for 3months already). We have been together for 2 1/2 years and I miss him so much. We love each other more than you can imagine but we are finding it hard to work through this. He can't come over to Australia due to money and work, but I can't come home until a few things are sorted over here. Im just so worried that we won't be able to cope with the distance, we text each other every day but it's just so hard not being with him. Can anyone suggest ways that we can malke the most of this bad sitution, I couldn't bare to loose him. He knows how upset I am not being with him, and we both want this to work so badly but we just can't think of ways to get through this.
Can someone please please help???

you have been together for quite a while. a few months im sure you both will be able to cope with. i know you will miss each other but im sure your relationship is strong enough to cope with the seperation. remember absence makes the heart grow stronger.

sometimes its good to have a short break away from each other. you learn to appreciate each other more. make sure your both honest and keep up the communications while you are both apart. im sure it will be fine for both of you. good luck.

from the look of things i think you are really down for this dude. believe me everything is possible if you want it to be. am in a long distance relatinship myself and have been with my boyfriend for almost two years now. call him constantly and let him know you trust him. it can be hard at times to trust because you are always thinking maybe he is with someone else.
If he truly loves you and you both want it to work then you dont have to worry at all about what he does. i mean he is a guy and he might have one or few flings with some girls but that doesnt mean he does not feel anything for you. he knows where you stand in his heart and maybe just flirts with the girls coz he is a bit lonely.
communication and trust is the only key. my boyfriend and i have an open relationship and he tells me everything and that way we have made it work because we are not always together for each other.

Just hang in there. It's difficult, I know. I did it for over 2 years, but could at least meet up every 6 weeks or so.
Try email... maybe just a matter of choice, but I would have thought it gives more scope than phone text. look out for international phone cards that you can uses on your own analog home phone. i.e., say you buy a $10 card that gives you 300 minutes to where ever he is.

If this is temporary. Then go out and buy a Web cam and you can see each other everyday. If this is for a long period of time. Then it'll never work out. Long distance never usually does.

It is a fact, without personal contact, a relationship is not likely to succeed. We as humans, need that personal contact to keep a relationship going.
