Can I choose Two??? Please? I simply love Kagome (Higurashi)and Kikyou from Inuyasha! Actually I don't get the dispute because they actually belong to the same soul and really, Kagome is simply a reincarnation of Kikyou 500 years later! Kagome's got a really pure and kind heart (except when "sitting" Inuyasha) and she can be really nice and caring at times. She is a positive schoolgirl whom is very versatile to the circumstances in which she has to adapt. In times of trouble, you can always see her standing up and protecting her friends, and she is able to gradually nurse back humanity into Inuyasha's heart. On the other hand, Kikyou, although filled with hatred and bitterness, is really quite a formidable miko, and her love for Inuyasha appears unchanged. It is very natural for her to be somewhat jealous of her reincarnation and vice versa. Besides, Kikyou possessed an aura of mystery wherever she goes and hence I see her as a very strong and independent lady who is willing to sacrifice for others. She is also a lady who believes strongly in romance. In all, both of them deserves to be the greatest! *Smiles*

I think Kagome from Inu Yasha is the BEST, only because she is a reincarnation of a Miko (PRINCESS) and she is also just a normal school girl like the rest of us. Her outlook on things is that she is normal like everyone yet she posses this female strength to overcome monsters and fiends to protect her friends and those she loves. Sort of like how mothers are with their children. Every girl is a super hero.
In most animes they make the girl so powerful with all this cosmic magic and uniforms and such, with Kagome she is a plain jane school girl. No powers what so ever, except she is good at fighting to help those in need. That's why she is the best!

As I watch a lot of anime, I can't choose just one favourite. I like Kagome from Inu Yasha because she is really sweet and her personality is very similar to mine. I also like Sango from Inu Yasha because she is a fighter in life.

uh, Inuyasha isn't female. Nor is Ranma (I couldn't tell if you were saying what anime they were from, or listing the actual characters, so if I'm wrong, I apologize). I'd have to say...NONE of them (I don't know any of them other than Inuyasha and Ranma, anyway). RYOKO from TENCHI MUYO RULES!!!!

i like kagome from inuyasha because inuyasha and kagome make such a cute couple plus she can see the shikon shards.
