My boyfriend, a long-time pot smoker, recently quit. Since then, he's had problems keeping it up in bed. Might this be a result of withdrawal/ a chemical imbalance? What can we do, short of visiting a doctor? He smoked for about 8 years, and has been off about two months. How much longer might this last?

To quit an addiction, you need someone who can support you through the whole thing. If he decided he wants to quit, support him. He's gonna need it, cause its gonna get alot worse before it gets better. Pot is addicting, some people find it hard to quit, others can just stop cold turkey. If you just leave him there is a great chance that he will get back on it. If you really care for this guy, just be there for him, and support him. Try getting him some gum or a stress ball so he can have something in his mouth or hand as a "security blanket" We did this with my brother when he was quitting pot and it took around 4 months before he was completly clean and didn't want to mess with it any more. He also stoped hanging around his friends that smoked alot of pot, since they were a bad influence, and he joined a gym and started coming back to church. I'm not saying that he should go to religion to get this dealt with, but keeping him busy with anything will help significantly.
