You are describing most poloticians. They take bribes also known as lobbying. Sexual Predator? can you say William Jefferson Clinton? Most of them sling their BS for the campaign and then do the exact opposite in office (* see "read my lips....NO new taxes"). So the answer to your question is NO! We wouldn't have any leadership left!!

I think they are under the same laws as us. They should be punished like us, with no special treatment for their job's. But, If guilty, should only be allowed the maximum penalty under law due to their job and the trust it incurs.

BUT, just for voting for something other than what they campaigned for, no, just not re elected.

Have you EVER know a elected official that DIDN'T lie?

If some thing of the authorities workers ought to stay with a pay scale and a fee of residing adjustment, why won't be able to the politicians? that's unlike they're hurting for funds. i do not care what their earnings is. that's about greed. And in accordance to a previous submit... even with if we paid all of them one thousand million funds a twelve months, they could nevertheless take bribes from particular interests in the type of marketing campaign donations. The equipment is broken. quite, that's a micro-greenback in the large image of the authorities funds. even with the indisputable fact that it nevertheless pisses me off. they ought to ought to promote any payscale boost to the individuals and positioned it as a lot as a regular vote. even as they have a intense approval score, it quite is a great time to ask for a lift. (clone of in the authentic international.)

Yes they should be held criminally responsible. But if we did that the Democrats would never stand a chance of ever regaining power. The Clinton's and Gore would definitely be in jail.

In a democratic society, the courts are supposed to decide who is guilty of breaking the law.Politicians and even members of the Royal Family have all had their share of traffic tickets and legal trouble.
Nobody is immune from prosecution, not even government officials. They just think they are untouchable.Until they get caught.

Yes. They have committed criminal acts and should be in prison.
Since these kind of politicians are so slippery, they have the money and connections to get away with anything. Justice can always be influenced and perverted by the influential and wealthy.

Yes, to the first two, which are actual crimes, and no to the last, which is basically just lieing to his constituents. No crime there, although anybody who votes for him the second time around would be guilty of stupidity.

I think they can lose their job, as Foley has. Criminal prosecution needs to be launched by the Attorney General and will depend on hard evidence.
