A truly awesome movie is one that can completely pull you into the storyline and almost make you forget that you are watching a movie instead of being part of the story.

A great movie is about the way it makes u feel and relate to the characters, a lot of my favourite movies are nothing like each other, so i don't really know what criteria i use.

The movie that I ENJOY to watch the most. That doesn't necessarily make it the best movie, just the most enjoyable for me. The editing, directing, ect. doesn't make any differance. It could be a absolute bomb but if I am into it thats all that matters.

It has to have a good plot... but most of it the cast...
Now there good action movies with a bad plot but good fight scenes its going to be good also...
Check "The Departed" Good Movie... Mark Walberg, Jack Nicolson and Leonardo DiCaprio are great...

Can i watch it over and over again without getting bored if it?
If yes, it's a winner.
Predator, life of brian/holy grail, pulp fiction, toy story, nemo, monsters inc, incredibles, Ben dover - housewife hussies.....
Ok, OK - some of the kids ones crept in there - except the last one (obviously)

My only favourites are those movies which have realism and optimism written all over them - and which do not aim to be box-office hits, by shamelessly catering to the basic instincts of vulgar voyeurs and violence seekers.

Who's in it!?! It has to be, for me, Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman and a few others. I can't stand Orlando Bloom, which is a bugger as he's in pirates with Johnny, or Brad Pitt. Not sure why!
