I was reading this article this morning, and saw this. It sounds like what the conservatives have been saying they want.

I am just asking the question. Conservatives are incessantly complaining about all the welfare and having to support people who cannot work. Sort of like the Nazis were complaining about it. You have to admit, the similiarities are there.

I think they'd rather the disabled didn't exist in the first place, and if you ever tried to get one online to talk about the disabled, they will ignore it and then go write in their journals about how parents should have to take parenting tests and dna tests to prove worthiness as potential parents.... No joke. They never have a real answer about disabled people.

Your news article has nothing to do with your question. Even though it was a very interesting news article.

No, I don't know any conservatives who want to kill the disabled. My sister is a care provider for a mentally handicapped man named Bruce (he's the same age as me, so I hesitate in calling him anything besides a man. Plus, he's a warm, caring person. I absolutely adore him!). I have a cousin with Down's syndrome.
Actually, as much as I hate to point fingers, it's not the conservatives who support aborting those who may be disabled. I'll give you one guess as to who it is. Here's a hint: It's not the moderates either.
Conservatives, for the most part, have no problem in helping to care for the disabled. What they DO have a problem with is supporting those who are perfectly capable of getting a job.
By the way, the mentally handicapped man I mentioned graduated from high school, has a job, and is trying to get his own place. Yet he's stuck at the mental age of about six. He's one that's aware that he's different. He also wants a girlfriend!
Oh yeah, it was Washington State's former LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC governor who cut benefits to people like Bruce. Go figure.
Quit throwing stones.

The far right seeks to withdraw accessibility laws and services for the disabled by using the "Personal Responsibility" code-phrase.

"Personal Responsibility" is a phrase that has been tested by Republican pollsters to have high favorability.
They use it to give off the impression of carelessness as the root cause of misfortune.
With this phrase, they lobby for the end of social services and laws protecting the individual from mistreatment by the public-at-large, or corporations.
I have noticed for some time that the rantings of conservative pundits has given rise to a segment of the public that DOES lend verbal support for violent and un-American treatment of others who either are not self-sufficient or do not agree with their repressive views.

Screaming Eagle:

I certainly hope not because I'm a disabled conservative.

That news article you referenced to concerns possible Nazi atrocities during World War 2. What does that have to do with conservatives? (I know, you think we're all Nazis, right)

You have it backwards. Conservatives don't want to kill anyone except Muslims and Charles Manson. They want to keep the disabled alive but don't want to have to support them or provide job training for them. I'm not sure what jobs they are supposed to get that will have high pay (disabled people have high expenses, things like modifications to car and home don't just magically happen) and excellent insurance with no training but if you just pray hard enough God will provide us all with opportunities. Sorry, I'm in such a bitchy mood about it, I've just had some bad experiences with that sort of problem.

How do figure that?? A mass grave from Nazi Germany is unearthed, what does that have to do with conservatives? Where is the connection? This is very hateful!

Are you nuts, or just jerking our chains? I'm conservative extraordinaire and I don't want anyone, least of all the disabled, killed. Who comes up with this stuff?

You have to watch those conservatists. I once had one take both my prostetic arms off of me and tried to beat me with them. If it hadn't been for my two prostetic legs, I would have never of gotten away.
