Did jack straw ask any of his constituency to remove their veil?

he has opened the debate with his ill informed views but has he the courage to actually ask a muslim woman to remove her veil in person?
or is he afraid that a refusal would scupper his position?
i think he is more worried that he will lose his seat due to current
foreign policy and has decided to go down in flames.

He asks them infront of another woman, that woman explains that it is up to the female if she removes her veil or not.
Face to face conversations are good for building trust between two people, that was his point.

Here here,do you know what Jack straw reminds me off.The type of man who is a loser in every aspect of his life from his bedroom to his work life.He has only increased the divide between people,he most likely thought this was one thing that would give him a standing point.How wrong he was.

definite that's ok for him to ask. that's ok for them to decline, which they don't look to have performed even as requested. wearing a veil over the face isn't mandated through the Islamic faith. that's a convention in some sectors and communities. that's own determination.

think he was honest and white people have a bigger issue with this than muslims. our culture is to be respected too and in british culture covering the face is suspicious behaviour and intimidating. noone tells you what to do in you own house. should naturists be allowed to wander the streets naked?
