Even better, i had a infa red noise generator. Blocks any signals from remotes by bombarding the room with every concievable freqency.

No but I remember having a US sci-fi mag smuggled through Malan airport for me. In it it advertised 'X-ray' glasses. I bought some so I could look at naked girls (well I was 11)...when they eventually arrived from the USA via Rhodesia, they had cost me R15 or so. They didn't work. That was 2 months allowance wasted!

I used to take lemonade and beer bottles back to our local Off-license shop and get the deposit money back, then when the assistant put the bottles into the empty crates in the outside yard - guess what? - I would climb over the wall, pinch some more bottles and then take them back the nexy day!

They are still available. The same function (and more) can be had by purchasing a programmable universal remote control.

Why would you want to change somebody else's channels?
