Is baseball attempting to lure more homosexual fans?
I'm not speaking of the old terms like, "He's got 2 balls on 'im." "It is high, it is long..." etc.
Lately they seem to be adding suggestive nicknames to popular players.
With names like "the Rocket", "the Unit", "a Rod" etc.
Is this some kind of P.R. plan devised to join TV sitcoms and get a piece of a high-income demographic?

LET IT BE KNOWN...
...I put this question up in 2 catagories at approx. the same time. I was curious to see what the responses would be of a dual subject question, posted in 2 very different types of subjects.
