It is already so ! Just because a vast majority choose to mean it otherwise, the word cannot become polluted !

Huh? Sounds like you don't understand human nature very well. Love and sex are two different animals, though related. Love always supercedes sex ( which can be an act of love, passion, obsession, or crime). Love is a lasting bond, sex is a momentary union. You can love sex, and have sex when in love, but you cannot create love from sex. Love involves feelings from the heart; sex from the loins.

There is a beautiful song written by Gulzar which should answer your question..."Haath se chuke ise rishton kaa ilzaam naa do,yeh woh ehsaas hai jise ruh se mehsus karo,Pyar ko pyar hi rehne do koi naam naa do..."
Love is indeed a matter of the soul...u can b distant apart and yet be so much in love...In the contrary sex is a physical need, just as u eat n sleep but to make the bond of love stronger, it is important that this need is fulfilled by the one who really loves you..

There are different kinds of love, most of them don't have anything to do with sex, but the kind that does is actually designed to get us to have sex and commit to each other so we're able to not only procreate, but also take care of the resulting offspring.

i have lots of people i love and i don't have sex with them all. they are all "true love", too. I do not love my husband because we have sex, tho. i love him for who he is, and sex is just a way of enjoying each others bodies for now... if that changes because of old age, or infirmity, i will not stop loving him.
you are right if you think that sometimes people mix up sex and love. but peopple mix up love and monry, love and power, love and food.... the list goes on. you cant eliminate everything that might make life confusing!
