Explain you aren't trying to make excuses but if you truly see a future with this guy than explain you feel you havn't experienced enough to be able to settle down with him and that he's the one you want to be with and that you would rather be doing this now and getting it out of your system than in 20 years when it could risk a family and marriage... Ask him if there is anything he needs from you and do it. Even if he needs space, remember there is always consequences to our actions! Good luck and are you really meant to be together if this is happening?

You could start, by saying you are sorry! and if you still like him, ask for forgiveness, that it will never happen again, you do not know what made you go out with him, but you just guess you was curious. And ask him he can find it in his heart to forgive you.
Now if you feel it is over with you and your boyfriend, just apologize, and tell him that you wish him well, and that you are sorry it had to end like this.
