Let him know that your single and that you like him (and not as a friend). Once its a sure bet that he will not be rejected then I can not see any reason he wouldnt ask you out unless:
1) He doesnt like you in that way
2) He is in a relationship
3) He is homosexual
4) He doesnt want to date
5) You are far too close (like family friends for many years)

Mike J has probably gotten the whole dating thing down to pat.
You can either take a deep breath, drink some alcohol to get some fake courage and ask him out, or just keep quiet and watch him go out with somebody else.
You can also get a friend to help you ask. It's wimpy but it gets the job done equally well.

Dont ask him out..,if hes interested he will ask you.Drop hints by flirting,but dont ask a guy out.I know it sounds old fashioned but it can scare off some guys.
