I am 49, my wife (thai)29. We have been living together for 10 years. I hate living in Europe and want to settle down in Asia where I have been living for many years before. My wife like to work and live in Europe. We have a house in Asia, and I want to go down there for living. She says it ok. I will need she send 150$/month to me for living which is enough down here. Its still ok she say. But is it a good idea to retire this way ?. She will be visiting me 2 times a year.

When my dad retired from working in America, he retired to Asia too, he now has 2 chaufferurs ,2 maids, 2 cooks, 7 cars and a countryside estate.
He would not be able to have that here in America.

It's fine to retire wherever you want, but what's the point of staying in the relationship if you will only see her 2 times per year? Seems that either you stay with her in Europe, or you two just go your separate ways.

I think its ok. You are lucky to have an asian girl. They don't think a western girls. Many asian girls also working abroad for years having their husband waiting. Its normal in Asia to live seperated for many years.
