You can learn how to cook by watching other people cook, and by reading a cook book, also try experimenting in the kitchen. When you use a recipe read not only the ingredients but also how to put it all together. You maybe the kind of person who learns by watching, if so watch the Food Network.

The only way to learn cooking is 'cooking by yourself' under the guidance of an expert cook. Mother or mother-in-law can be the best choice for you.

If you write down recipes or try to learn by watching cooking programmes on TV you would be confused as these are for those who know cooking.

I learned how to cook when my Mother bought me a Good Housekeeping cookbook.
It has many different types of food in it.
Buy yourself one, go get the ingredients and try it.
Your confidence will grow as you try new things.
I also ask other women and have gotten a lot of recipes from cooks in restaurants that I have worked in.
