The table below shows the different populations of V, W and X over a period of 3 months in a particular community.

For Organism V In March, April and May, the populations are 15, 5 and 30.

For Organism W In March, April and May, the populations are 30,50 and 20.

For Organism X In March, April and May, the populations are 45, 20 and 50.

The food chain that links the organisms V, W and X is : X -> W -> V

Why is this so? .

No reason at all as far as I can see. I take it you are saying that over a three month period the observed numbers of three different types of organisms change as indicated in your table and are now asking whether this indicates that one type preys on another?

OV has the smaller numbers, if I was told that these three types of organism were definitely links in a food chain I would put OV at the top and hope that the methods for counting them were unbiased.
Its a toss up between OW and OX for bottom of the chain without more information.
