The conversation can not be one where you ask the person for a favor of any kind? This conversation can be about any thing else other then a conversation involving personal gain. I would like to know in as much detail as your willing to give me about your conversation the more the better. Also why you began talking with this person would be nice.

Oct.6, 06 I was at my grandson's school play,and I noticed the woman beside me had this ahhhh look on her face, I thought- yea I know that look it's a grandma look.I turn towards her and said as much. After that we stared talking about our grandchildren, kids and husbands, we even had the nerve to start pulling pictures out of our bill folds showing them to each other. I can spot a granny a mile away. Grannies can all ways find something to talk about.

Well the most important one was the time I approached my wife in a coffee shop. We were at university and we had just begun a new term. I had seen her in my Italian cinema class and I started with that. We've been married now for 3 years.
But I'm still in University and I have to approach people I don't know all the time, but its usually because we have classes together or need a research partner.

Never. This would never ever occur! I'm too shy to start a conversation with a stranger. Luckily men approach me or I never would have dated! Usually they start the conversation by complimenting me in some fashion (my dancing if in a nightclub, or my singing at open mikes or my appearance). Flattery is always nice if it seems genuine. I'm always nice to people who approach because I admire the courage it takes to do it. Except for the few who were rude & lewd & just wanted in my pants!

Today. I do that everyday. I'm lonely (disabled)and when I'm out of the house I look for times I can talk to someone. Let's see I was at a discount store and I was looking at a pin. There was an older man(80+) next to me so I asked him what he thought. He was nice and we talked about nothing for 5 or 10 min.

1)3 days ago when I went to town.
2)Talked about the weather. not mcuh detail there.
3)Because there was time to kill and why stand there staring at each other when we could talk and make the time more comfortable.
