I live in an area near where Charlotte Church is from and people from around here do not speak like that. I myself curse a lot, a few times a sentance when I'm with my friends, but I'm irish and that's just the way we speak. I think Charlotte is trying to buy into the chavy subculture because there's a lot of money there.

Unfortunately, it is the time of the age that stars <27 can swear that much, it would make Gordon Ramsay look sensible. This could be the reason why TV programmes' ratings have plummeted over the last 5 years. Swearing in public now is just part & parcel of everyday life.

At first it shocked and stunned me, but I think that she is just being who she really is. When I first arrived in the UK from America, I was shocked how much people swore all the time, but I do it myself now and have to be careful when I speak to people back home. I think Charlotte is trying to be herself and have a hip young show. I admit some of it is pretty bad, and it really still makes me cringe to hear her sing the word sh*t in her gorgeous voice, but I think she's trying to have a sense of humor and not be this idyllic little angel everyone used to think she was when she was little.

Swearing has its place - if you think about it, it's a very useful linguistic tool. But it should only be used if you want to convey a sentiment very forcefully, and even then only in the right circumstances. To swear incessantly and thoughtlessly makes it completely redundant, and strips it of any effect whatsoever - except to earmark the speaker as some kind of moron. But if Miss Church wants to put herself across as a social neanderthal, then I suppose that's up to her.

Ehh, despite being 'young folk' I don't swear as much as her, and the onyl bit of her show I watch is the in tro, because she just annoys me so much,

Channel four need to sort her out. Jonathan ross is on at the same time, and I'd rather watch him to be honest

This creature is an example of a weak, immoral personality's inability to cope with sudden success and wealth.

It will now be drugs and a quick death.

She will not be missed.

No, the occassional f*** i will cope with yet she i think of is enjoying as much as a pair style of photograph that she misguidedly thinks is "Cool" and swears too lots! And became that "lady to Ladette" sketch extremely stupid advertising eating booze quickly?

I think her shows good & sounds funny when she swears everybody does it & if people say they dont they are lying. If people dont like the style of show they are not forced to watch it. They could always tape songs of praise or the waltons & watch it instead.

Yes. Its sounds out of place and timing. You know when you hear someone talk and they swear it just sounds natural and others they seem to misplace the words
