I know the main ingredient, according to a reliable source, is supposed to be vanilla. I've seen a suspicious recipe online that says it is made from some floral scents with sandalwood, but if anyone knows a more traditional recipe that would be great.

I'll tell you that I do not know the recipe. However, sandalwood and vanilla combined is the easiest way to create an all-purpose scent good for any sort of psychic workings. When it gets into magical scents, there are two basic divisions; Dionysian, which lends itself to more earthy, pagan-type workings; and Venusian, which is better for intellectual-exercise occult workings. Sandalwood (Dionysian) and vanilla (Venusian) put together are good for an all-around sort of thing; the male-female balance is intact; and it smells darn good. I'd say you could do worse.
