Manfred Mann was the keyboard player in Manfred Mann, then he left the band in the 70s and started Manfred Mann's Earth Band. They are not the same group.

They share common members (at least one, the namesake member) maybe but the sound is radically different. Manfred Mann is a 60s English band sounding like the other 60s English bands like The Beatles, Hermans Hermits, early Stones, Dave Clark 5, etc.: that kind of sound - Do Wha Diddy. The Earth Band was more "progressive" sounding. Their music is less "dated"

They are not the same band but had a original member in both bands.Manferd Mann was the keyboard player in Manferd Mann and they had that song "Do Wah Diddy Diddy".He left and formed Manferd Mann's Earth Band who had that song "Blinded By The Light".A very different sound than Manferd Mann...

Cool! they truly did a number of covers - a number of Bob Dylan's songs (powerful Quinn develop into easily one of them). MQ: Blinded through the elementary will continually be my sought after. i like the keyboarding and guitar paintings. The vocals are nicer as well. It has between the most "misunderstood or misheard lyrics" of all time. lol. MQ2: Manfred Mann BQ: friends will be friends for Dave V. BQ2: were given somewhat a headache in the present day - in the different case doing high quality!
