The whole family has recorded our sons mobile number incorrectly by copying from each other. He lost it then after he bought a new one when he went to Uni we found it in the house roughly a year later. But no-one knows the number and he can't remember.

You should consider to try this service ( http://reversephones.info ) It's a cheap service that works great! It could be used for a much deeper search. You can use it to get hold of different varieties of background reports, and in addition cell numbers, addresses and names.. you can get unlimited reports... I ran with this because I required to verify more numbers. You can get the name, other phone number, address history, relatives, and much more about anyone! The completly free reverse phone lookup generally doesn't provide anything interesting. To get interesting information, money will must be paid. The free searches don't provide considerably more than what may be found through the phone directory or personal information and they simply require your email to send spam. The reverse phone detective search tool does work, but you should use just the service that I posted above. The last thing you want to do, is pay for a service and find the numbers you want to lookup are not available in their directory. The service that I reccomend doesn't have any kind of problem , you won't get any bad surprise! Trust it!

The free reverse phone lookup sites generally doesn't provide anything interesting. To get interesting information, you should spend a bit of money. The free searches do not provide much more than what can be found through the phone book or personal knowledge and they only want your email to send spam. You should stay away from shady reverse phone lookup sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Stick with a reputable reverse phone lookup site like http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=538 that has been on the market for a lot of years.

With their reverse cell phone lookup tool you can find out information behind any cell or land line number. Type in the persons cell phone number and you will be given access to their report, including name cell and land line numbers, and address.

It can be used also for a much deeper search. People wanting to get hold of all kinds of background reports, as well as cell phone numbers, addresses and names..

If I remember well there are 2 options:

Basic:
You get only one report.

Advanced:

You get unlimited reports... I went with this option because I wanted to verify more numbers. You can get the name, other phone number, address history, relatives, and much more about anyone!

Anyway you can check on the website for further informations. Hope it helps! :)

By mobile number I am assuming you mean the Sim card number. If it is, then insert the card into a mobile and call one of your family members from it- the number should record at their end. if it doesn't work the sim card may very well have expired since it has been a year or so- this depends on the country in which you are or service provider.

This is the best option for a reverse phone number lookup https://tr.im/721a7
Receiving a one or two hang up calls each month is probably nothing to worry about, but when those calls increase in frequency and if it happens in the middle of the night then you must do something to stop it, before it starts affecting your life. With the help of this services you can take away the one advantage these people have - their anonymity.

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:
Get the identity of an unknown caller.
Identify an area code.
Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.
Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.

Call another mobile from the phone ensuring caller ID is not withheld on the old phone or likewise call a landline & do 1471 (if its a BT line) or if the land line has a display pane it should show up if caller ID is active. Either one should work

U can trace the no through caller id if u don't have caller id then u have to call the agenyc whichever is installed at your home, like MTNL, Airtel, BSNL etc. Ask him to issue an statement of call receive record through the correct date & time u can easily get the no. It's a little long process but i think there is no other option than this.
