Compelling reasons to do an MBA
The popularity of an MBA degree has increased manifold during the 90s on account of the following reasons.
Attractive Careers @ Business Schools
Leading corporates the world over prefer to employ MBAs in managerial positions. The nature of responsibility, quality of work and possibilities for growth increase with an MBA degree.
While most other masters degrees result in specializations leading to a narrow career stream, MBA opens the door to a wide range of career options.
Needless to say, Management graduates from top business schools get a real fat pay cheque.
Alumni and Faculty Network @ B schools
The width of the network of an individual will positively influence his professional success. What better place than B-Schools to lay the foundation stone for building a strong network of achievement-oriented individuals. A graduate from any of the top B-Schools will know at least 500 co-students on 'first name basis', many of who will go on to become senior managers in leading organizations.
World Class Faculty @ top B Schools
Being taught by some of the best academic minds in the field is an experience to cherish. Top B-School professors have wide ranging academic and real life experiences. Some of the professors advise governments across the world on policy matters and actively advise corporates on strategic issues.
Infrastructure
Be it access to libraries, classrooms, computers or the Internet, the top B-Schools provide you with the best that the country can offer.
The IIM or XL Brand
The IIM or XLRI tag opens doors. Being acknowledged as one amongst the top 1 percentile of students does help. Plus there is always the alumni fraternity to fall back upon.
