"He is said to be unmanifest, incomprehensible and changeless; therefore, knowing him as such, you should not grieve.

He is not comprehended by reason, O Arjuna. Meditation is ever yearning to meet him. He is inaccessible to the mind and unattainable by any means. This Supreme Person is beyond limit, O Arjuna. He is devoid of the three qualities, and is without beginning and change. He is devoid of form, but present in all forms (146- 150). In this way, O Arjuna, he is the inner controller of all beings. When you realise this, you will become free from sorrow. "

That which IS is beyond gender, beyond form of any kind. Scientist call it implicate order. It is pure undiferentiadted consciousness, pure potential. All that exists in form, in the gross realms or in subtle realms exists on the background or within that which IS. Like sound needs the background or contrast of silence to exist or come into expression, so does the manifest world ( which is frequency based) need the stillness of the absolute or pure being to express.

As waves upon the ocean give rise to the illusion of separation, so does the human energy field similarly (which is a wave form template) facilitate the same effect. After its journey, the wave eventually returns or merges again with the ocean to its original state of being.

While in wave(form) there is an illusion of separation which gives rise to the illusion of space and time. As the wave diminishes, merging again with the ocean, omnipresence is experienced because it is everywhere at once, beyond space and time. Avatars since time imemorial have spoken of this state of being.
And it is the ultimate potential of all of mankind. Like the wave always has access to this omnipresent state, so to does the (wave form) energy field of the human form. But like the wave, if you focus on the creast ( the ego Identity that creates the illusion of separation)you reinforce the illusion of separation. But if you look deep into the origin of the wave you will find that youare no longer the wave but the ocean within in which the wave exists. This is what Jesus meant when he said that I and the father are ONE. When you look beyond the body and the mind(wave forms) you will discover your true Self (the ocean) and be liberated. You will the be as Sai Baba, Jesus, Buddha, Babaji, Nissargatta Maharaj,Etc... you will ahve come home to your original Self. Knowing this state, you will not grieve, for you are as are Arjuna IS. But if you go on feeding your personality or ego self (wave) you shall never know your original self(ocean) so you will continue to grieve and live in fear because the waves come and go, the ocean IS.

Peace

Arjuna being asked to become 'sthitapragyan'. It takes sometimes a life time or more than many lives to reach that stage, as was the case of Bhishma. The ultimate. Have you reached there JK?

I believe that trying to teach the uninitiated is the greatest folly good people indulge in.

As to your question, the wise one would indeed not grieve, instead he would concentrate on what needs to be done next, rightfully. In fact a focus on action quite successfully keeps us immune from the vagaries of uncertainties, especially with respect to the future, but also with respect to the past failures which are equally a manifestation of the uncertainties.

What exactly are you asking? If people are changless? If we should not grieve? I'm guessing that's it, as that is what your question states. I believe we should, as no human being is "unchangeable." Greiving can also be a form of rebuilding.

Based on my self-beliefs: One should take time to grief; to get it out of us. BUT, give yourself a time-frame. Grieving is a healing process.
